Arlo Guthrie

ARLO GUTHRIE is a second generation icon.  The eldest son of America folk legend Woody Guthrie (This Land is Your Land) and Marjorie Mazia Guthrie (a professional dancer with the Martha Graham Company and founder of The Committee to Combat Huntington's Disease) moved a 60s generation with the release of Alice's Restaurant.  The title song, which premiered at the Newport Folk Festival, sparked social consciousness and spawned a movie version directed by Arthur Penn.  Hits like Coming into Los Angeles and his classic version of the City of New Orleans have been enjoyed by this Woodstock veteran's audiences around the world for four decades.  A consummate storyteller and musician, Guthrie is adept at the piano, six and twelve-string guitar, harmonica and a dozen other instruments.
